Maria Pureza Escano receives Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan for Culture and the Arts
Senator JV Ejercito and Governor David Suarez Present Maria Pureza Hernandez - Escano with the 2014 Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan Award (Quezon Medal of Honor) for Culture and the Arts.
Maria Pureza Escano was awarded this highest recognition given to a Quezonian in the field of Culture and the Arts for (as her citation reads):
"her excellence in the field of arts as proven by the numerous awards she has received in and out of the country; her unstinting generosity in helping the youth and those in need as a way of giving back her blessings; for actively promoting the art and culture of her province and country in her endeavors; and for giving inspiration to others through her exemplary works." (" para sa pagiging tanyag na alagad ng sining na pinatunayan ng mga pagkilalang natamo sa loob at labas ng bansa; sa bukas-loob na pagtulong sa mga kabataan at iba pang mga nangangailangan bilang paraan ng pagbabahagi ng tagumpay; sa aktibong pagsusulong ng kultura at sining ng Quezon at ng bansa sa kanyang mga gawain; at sa pagbibigay inspirasyon sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga kahanga-hangang obra na lalo pang nagpatingkad ng kanyang likas na pagkamalikhain at natatanging kakayahan."
